NEON
ILLUMINATOR
Introducing the latest additions to the EDIFICE lineup, with a new "NEON ILLUMINATOR" feature. Unlike EL backlight, which illuminates the display by shining from behind the face, the NEON ILLUMINATOR uses an ultraviolet light source that reacts with illuminant paint on the hour marks and hands. This not only provides easier reading in the dark, it also enables more design flexibility by allowing the use of sunburst faces and other distinctive face designs that are not possible with an EL backlight. These new models also include petite models with brightly colored faces for the women's lineup. All models employ a design that creates smooth, flowing lines from the band to the case.
