G-SHOCK COLLABORATION MODELTo create the two new models, Casio has collaborated with a graphic artist and a photographer.
The results are the Mr. Cartoon model (DW-6900MRC) and the Todd Jordan model (DW-5600TOD).
The base designs used for these collaborative watches are all proven G-Shock watches popular with young people.
Mr. Cartoon is a graphic artist working mainly in Los Angeles, and is known for his designs with pinstripe or clown motifs. Todd Jordan work mainly in North America and is contributors to the free magazine, Many talented content creators are involved in the magazine. For the new collaborative watches, Casio found two contributors whose style and personality matches the cool, tough image of the G-Shock.
 This collaboration with the LA native is true to Los Angeles culture, the watch utilizes a Dodger blue and grey and a case back engraved with Cartoon’s epic styling. With the goal of creating a simple watch design unaffected by fads, the Todd Jordan collaborative G-Shock model (DW-5600TOD) features a body with a unified black and silver theme. Jordan’s favorite color black is also used for the band, and the cool image was further heightened by the use of a white LCD readout on a dark background. This new watch is based on the classic DW-5600, which traces its roots back to the square form of the first G-Shock model,
DW-5000. The Todd Jordan G-Shock boasts a simple design that exudes the power of pure presence.
