Full-metal digital-analog designThis new 2100 series full-metal digital-analog G-SHOCK inherits the basic concept of the original G-SHOCK DW-5000C. Stainless steel is used for the screw back case, bezel, and band, which creates a simple, no-nonsense design with an impact-resistant structure that protects the module from damage. Features adopted from the original DW-5000C of 1983 are the octagonal bezel and the dimple design of the band. The overall thickness of this model has been reduced by the high-density mounting technology employed when manufacturing its slim, high-performance module. Everything about this model is designed and engineered for comfort while on the wrist. The stainless steel bezel is formed by a meticulous process of forging, cutting, and polishing. The top surface is then done to a circumferential hairline finish, while angled surfaces are polished to a mirror finish. The shock-resistant structure for the metal exterior is achieved by fine resin cushioning material between the bezel and case. The dial is delicately shaped using the microfabrication technology of the CASIO Yamagata Factory and then given an exquisite finish by thin-film deposition. The thin and high-performance digital-analog module connects via Bluetooth® to a special phone app to acquire current time data. Other useful functions include Tough Solar, and high-brightness double LED light.
