TOKYO, November 11, 2013 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd., capped off the
celebration of the 30th anniversary of its G-SHOCK brand of
shock-resistant watches by announcing the highly collectible and
sought-after 30th Anniversary series of limited edition watches.
Capturing G-SHOCK toughness in a vivid yellow that evokes the power of
lightning, this collection seamlessly combines the legendary
shock-resistant construction with high performance functionality for
professionals and avid timepiece enthusiasts alike.
The new lightening yellow design is available in three exciting new models. First is the GD-X6930E, a cool update of the recently released GD-X6900, which itself was based on the best-selling G-SHOCK classic, the DW-6900. Second is the GF-8230E, designed based on FROGMAN models in the Master of G series of watches, and third is the GW-9430EJ, based on RANGEMAN models, the latest addition to the Master of G series.
The GD-X6930E features 200-meter water-resistance and shock-resistance delivered using an advanced shock-absorption material called αGEL® in its construction. It employs an Auto LED Super Illuminator for flick-on-the-wrist night time viewing and has other great functions: 48-city World Time, five daily alarms with flash alert, 1/100th second stopwatch, countdown timer and four multi-home times for the modern jetsetter lifestyle.
The lightning yellow FROGMAN watch is an essential diving chronograph featuring ISO-certified 200-meter water-resistant full metal cases and Tough Solar Power for long lasting performance. This features Full Auto EL Backlight for quick illuminated display, tide/moon graphs for the insight needed to safely engage with the ocean, data memory up to 10 logs, and 48-city World Time +UTC, 1/100th second stopwatch, countdown timer and 12/24 hour time formats. The GF-8230E features a stainless steel case and is wrapped in a tough urethane resin and feature screw-lock case backs. This asymmetrically designed FROGMAN watch has a larger band to provide a superior fit against the skin or over a wetsuit, and allow for maximum range of movement whether paddling, bodysurfing, or free or deep-water diving.
The GW-9430EJ is equipped with a Triple Sensor for determining compass bearing, atmospheric pressure/altitude, and temperature. Users can obtain any data they need simply by pressing the large sensor button. It also features a newly developed cylinder structure to guard the sensor button and a resin wristband reinforced by a carbon fiber insert with excellent tensile strength, making this watch a reliable partner in harsh conditions.
